On September 24, Professor Li Jianbing , a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (FEIC) and a renowned expert in solid waste treatment and disposal from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), delivered a lecture in the discipline of Resources and Environment titled “Marine Oil Spill Response: A Canadian Perspective”.
During the lecture, Professor Li, focusing on the forefront of international research, described Canada’s regulatory frameworks, key institutions, and strategies for marine oil spill response. He also presented a detailed overview of his current research on nano- and micro-bubble flotation technology.
After the lecture, President Chen Changpinghelda meetingwith Professor Li.On behalf of the university, President Chen Changping expressedsincere welcome and gratitude to Professor Liand he introduced QNU’s recent development, especially internationalcooperation with overseas universities in student and faculty exchange, and academic research. He stated that the university would strengthen its exchange with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in academic program, scientific research, talent cultivation, and faculty visiting programs. He expressed his hope that Professor Li could offer guidance and support in building academic and research teams for the university’s high-quality development.
