On the afternoon of June 3, the signing ceremony between QNU and Philippine Chinese Education Research Center, as well as the unveiling ceremony of the training base, was held in the First Meeting Room of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The event was attended by Chen Changping, President of QNU, Huang Jiangkun, Vice President, Huang Duanming, Chairman of the Philippine Chinese Education Research Center, Niu Hong, fourth-level researcher from United Front Work Department of the CPC Quanzhou Municipal Committee, Ji Ru, fourth-level researcher from Quanzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, five team head teachers including Zhuang Rongzhen and Lei Luoma and 74 campers of 2024 Chinese-learning Summer Camp for Filipino Chinese Students, as well as relevant department directors and faculty and student representatives of the university.


Chen Changping and Huang Duanming delivered speeches respectively and signed a cooperation memorandum on behalf of both parties.Subsequently, Chen Changping, Huang Duanming, Huang Jiangkun, Niu Hong, Ji Ru, and Lei Luoma jointly unveiled the plaque for QNU- Philippine Chinese Education Research Center Training Base.

After the ceremony, Huang Duanming gave a special lecture titled Chinese Education in the New Era Should Undergo Timely Transformation – Taking the Philippines as an Example, and visited the Silk Road Language and Culture Research Center.


During the event, QNU leaders Chen Changping, Huang Jiangkun, and Huang Duanming visited the teachers and students of 2024 Chinese-learning Summer Camp for Filipino Chinese Students. They also celebrated the birthday of campers whose birthday fell on that day, hoping they would have an enjoyable and fulfilling summer camp, share what they see, hear, and learn with friends and family in the Philippines, and tell China’s stories well.
