QNU celebrated its Class of 2024 with a grand graduation and degree conferral ceremony on the morning of June 19 at the Chen Zuchang Auditorium. The event was attended by university leaders, including Ke Ruiqing, Chen Changping, Lin Wei, Chen Xiaofeng, Huang Jiangkun, Xiahou Jianbing, Chen Mingsen, and Chen Qiuyan.

The ceremony graduation with lively pre-show performances by student counselors and representatives. A specially produced graduation music video, titled “Youth: Blossoming Along the Way,” was screened, conveying heartfelt blessings for the graduating class.

President Chen Changping addressed the ceremony, delivering an address themed “Nurturing Patriotism, Demonstrating Responsibility.” He encouraged graduates to cherish their nation, aspire to lofty goals, pursue continuous learning and innovation, and embrace their responsibilities with determination.
Notable speeches were also given by undergraduate representative Chen Yuyao, postgraduate representative Huang Tiantian, faculty representative Professor Weng Shihui, and alumni representative Professor Lin Yumei fromXiamen University.

During the ceremony, Ke Ruiqing presented a commemorative plaque to alumni Lin Yumei. Vice President Xiahou Jianbing read the official document on graduation and degree conferral for the Class of 2024. Chen Xiaofeng, Deputy Party Secretary of QNU, announced the recognition of outstanding graduates, with leaders and guests presenting honorary certificates to their representatives.

Graduate students presented flowers to staff representatives, including teachers, counselors, dormitory supervisors, security personnel, and cafeteria workers, acknowledging their dedicated service.


The formal ceremony concluded with a rendition of “Ode to the Motherland” by all attendees. This was followed by the degree conferral ritual, during which university leaders and deans turned the tassels for each graduate receiving their master’s or bachelor’s degrees.
