From September 12 to 15, President Chen Changping led a delegation to Hong Kong for exchanges. They visited the Hong Kong-Quanzhou Charity Promotion Association and attended the 9th board of directors’ inauguration ceremony. They also visited directorsof QNU Board and cooperative enterprises, including Luentai International Holding (H.K.) Limited, Asia Real Estate (Hong Kong), Cinda International Holding (H.K.) Limited, and Zhongquan (Hong Kong) International LimitedCo., Ltd.During the trip, the delegation met withQuanzhou-origin community leaders and representatives from The Education University of Hong Kongand The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. They also visited QNU students of exchange programs and held discussions with local alumni.

At the 9th Board of Directors Inauguration Ceremony of the Hong Kong Quanzhou Charity Promotion Association, Chen Changping accepted the first installment of a 500,000RMB scholarship donation on behalf of the university. He also congratulated Mr. Chen Rongzhu on his re-election as the association’s Chairman and thanked the association for its long-term support .

The delegation also paid visits to Mr. Tan Siu Lin, Mr. Chen Rongzhu, Mr. Lin Shuzhe, Mr. Luo Zhihong, Mr.Henry Chan, and Mr. Li Jianchao, and other university directors of QNU Board and Quanzhou-origin community leaders. President Chen expressed his sincere gratitude for their enduring support,introduced university’s recent achievements and future development plans, and extended a warm invitation for them to visit the campus. The directors and community leaders graciously accepted the invitationand affirmed their ongoing commitment to support and contribute to the university’s growth.

At Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Teng Jinguang, CAS Member and President of PolyU, met with Chen Changping and his delegation, and held a symposium on promoting exchanges and cooperation. Dean Yu Changyuan of Technology Innovation Research Institute(Jinjiang), Professor Lai Puxiang, and other participants attended the exchange. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions and reached consensus on jointly building research platforms, conducting project researches, training graduate students, and sharing high-level talents.

At the Education University of Hong Kong, President Li Zijian met with Chen Changping and his delegation. Relevant department heads, including Xiao Guanming from the Global Affairs Office and Tang Junwei from the Alumni and Development Office, also participated in the exchange. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on advancing the Fujian-Hong Kong Teacher Education Alliance, collaborating on special education projects, and implementing the cooperation agreement between the two parties. Afterwards, the delegation toured the campus and conversed cordially with three QNU students on an exchange program there.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the cooperative enterprise Zhongquan (Hong Kong) International Co., Ltd., exchanging views on promoting the international talent cultivation between schools and enterprises. They also visited our alumni soliciting their opinions on the establishment of the Hong Kong Alumni Association and seeking their support. The alumni who attended the meeting expressed their intention to contribute to the construction and development ofour university , and actively participate in the preparation work for the establishment of the Hong Kong Alumni Association.
